The local co-creation activity of our KA2 strategic partnerships project named Peacecraft 2.0: Lets craft peace together, of which we are the legal partner, funded by the Development and Innovation Office Association, Belgium National Agency and the European Commission, will be held in Izmir.
The Peacecraft project aims to engage, connect and empower young people on the one hand and to promote active citizenship and social entrepreneurship among them on the other hand. Through creative dialogue methodologies, both groups will gain a better understanding of ‘the other side and engage in a meaningful intercultural dialogue.
The aim of the co-creation event to be held in Izmir is for young people to come together and produce solutions on superdiverse societies, diversity and migration issues. During the co-creation trajectories with the youngsters, the youngsters will design new products/services/actions as publications, videos, products, new services, a game, an exhibition, an installation etc (It totally depends on the youngsters) coached by the youth workers. Within the scope of the event, non-formal education-based workshops, games, presentations and group studies will be organized.
Three young people from the participants of the event will be selected to participate in the international summit to be held in Bulgaria on 15 – 18 July 2021 and will come together with young people from Belgium, Slovenia and Bulgaria to share their experiences.
We will carefully select the 20 participants participating in the event. Key criteria will be the following:
– 10 youngsters with a refugee background
– 10 youngsters with a non-refugee background
– Gender balance: we will pay extra focus to involve enough women
– Motivation, eager to get involved in designing solutions to overcome the conflict and polarisation existing on the topic of migration and refugees
– 16 – 25 years old
– To be able to participate fully in workshops for 2 days

The time schedule to be followed in the workshops is as follows:
1.Day: 09.30 – 17.00 (Two coffee breaks and lunch)
2.Day: 09.30 – 13.00 (A coffee break)
Within the scope of the project, participants from outside the city will not be accepted in accordance with the pandemic measures, and the applications of the participants from the relevant provinces will be evaluated. Accommodation will not be provided to the participants. Halls and working order, meal and coffee breaks will be implemented according to the pandemic measures taken, the measures specified by the relevant institutions will be followed and the necessary precautions will be taken.

All participants will be given a certificate of participation.
